Another popular attraction in Falmouth, Jamaica is the glistening waters lagoon. If your trip to Falmouth includes an overnight stay then you should definitely visit this place. ⚡Falmouth is located between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, two other popular port towns in Jamaica. Exploring the lively craft markets in Jamaica is a must for anyone looking to discover local art and culture. These bustling markets contain handmade treasures, like colorful textiles, unique jewelry, and traditional artworks. Experience the thrill of river tubing along Jamaica’s scenic waterways. Glide down gentle rapids and take in the surroundings by embarking on a unique activity during your Caribbean cruise. What I really love about Falmouth is how easy it is to explore on foot.

The Falmouth, Jamaica cruise port, officially named the Historic Falmouth Cruise Port (HFCP), is one of five cruise ports in the country. The ironically-named cruise port was actually built in 2011 and has only two berths for cruise ships. The Falmouth cruise port is conveniently sandwiched between two other bustling Jamaican cruise ports -- Montego Bay and Ocho Rios -- and offers cruisers a port area with a local Georgian vibe. You can dive into the town’s rich history, head out on exciting excursions, or savor delicious local food, making the Falmouth Cruise Port an excellent destination for all cruise visitors. Create your own self-guided walking tour and check out the historical landmarks.

Don’t forget to bring your sunblock and an umbrella, as it can get very hot there. There is so much more you’ll get to see and do on this kayak tour, so you certainly don’t want to miss out. We’ve already mentioned a few tours you can take, but those are not the only options. There’s history tours, culinary tours, trolley tours, and so much more.

The property now a resort kind of estate has restored the sugarcane plantation and has one of the best golf courses in Jamaica. The Bamboo Beach Club is a popular shore excursion thanks to the various packages on offer. Tour packages can include transportation, all-you-can-drink cocktails, lunch, and jungle river tubing. James Bond fans can enjoy a recreation of the scene with crocodiles in the “Live and Let Die” movie shown at the end of this tour. The lagoon also is known as the luminous lagoon, when stirred lights up in an eerie blue light.

If you are in Falmouth for the first time, my honest suggestion is that you skip the downtown area and explore the island’s attractions because there’s so much to see outside the town. For those that prefer to explore on your own, there are some good alternatives. The Taxi Fares are per car (1 to 4 pax) with an extra for each additional passenger. Don't think about haggling prices with these authorized/certified taxi drivers as the Fares are Fixed and clearly displayed. It is known that such attitude has spoiled many cruisers' unique day in Jamaica and deterred many from exploring the port on their own. However, and surprisingly for many, this is NOT a reality when docking at Falmouth Cruise Port.

There are also plenty of adventure activities to do in the parish of Trelawny, Jamaica. Whether you’re looking for relaxing river tubing on the Martha Brae River or adrenaline-pumping whitewater rafting, Falmouth has plenty of options. While food is included on cruise ships, many cruisers enjoy trying out some of the local cuisine in cruise ports of call.

Oranjestad – the capital and cruise port of Aruba – is a very neat city, clean, well kept that embraces you with a sense of relaxed safety. Cruise passengers that have never been to a far from an affluent Caribbean island may feel intimidated and not comfortable walking around by themselves. There are several outdoor seating areas at the cruise port in Falmouth, most being shaded.
